Through new equipment acquired with the support of the Government, for the first
time, the "Expert Center of the Republic of Armenia" SNCO has started conducting a
new type of examination in the Department of Biological and Narcotic Forensic
Examinations to determine the qualitative indicators of animal and plant fats in dairy
products and to issue the opinion of a forensic expert. This new feature of the Expert
Center will permit the supervisory authorities to keep oversight over products and
those involved in production of dairy products in the market in focus, and this, in its
turn, will help make available — in the market — high-quality dairy products
presented to consumers and avoid forgery, which may cause serious health problems
for people.
