SNCO has been apparently expanded thanks to the newly hired professionals and
modern equipment. For the first time in its forensic and legal activities, the Expert
Center is going to conduct forensic-psychiatric expert examination, and, in this case,
the main object of the expert examination will be a person, along with its
psychopathological manifestations. The following expert examinations will be
conducted by the Department of Forensic Psychiatric Expertises for the purpose of
detecting — within the scope of criminal and civil proceedings — issues with regard
to the mental health of persons with different procedural statuses (including post
mortem), as well as expert examinations for professional evaluation of sanity
(insanity), the active legal capacity (lack of legal capacity).
