The “Expert Center of the Republic of Armenia” SNCO has started conducting
precise examination to distinguish and identify natural cotton and artificial cotton
through the new device acquired with the support of the Government. The device
used for conducting the examination allows distinguishing between natural and
artificial cottons, which will go on to provide the Expert Center with the opportunity to
confirm compliance of the composition of fabrics of any type imported to the Republic
of Armenia. Due the use of the new device and the great opportunities that it
provides, the experts of the Expert Center will find out — within the shortest time
periods — whether the fabric is made of natural cotton or whether it is chemically
obtained from lyocell fibres.
